Two pies? Two burgers? Those are homemade loaded with banana pies, and unfrozen homemade burgers. That is a good price and nothing unususl.
They might be closed. But I would order it. They are really popular for Thanksgiving.
Nope
Yes! Just cross the street
Less than 10 minutes for one person. Longer if there's more in your party and you all want to sit together.
Cash only... totally worth it tho.. they use an old school register and good ole fashioned math
Yes. Saw them do it for a customer. They will pretty much make anything if they can
It tastes the same either way
Family owned. Father has passed away. Now his daughters own and run it.
No daily flavors. the old time favorites
After so many years that I heard about the apple pan diner, I decided to stop by and get one of their so highly mentioned apple pies. But the price of a $30+ for a one 11" apple pie not expecting it to be costly, I didn't get it, instead I only got a slice to try it and see if such pie was a good as rated and to see if it was worth the price. Was a good thing that I didn't get the whole pie, so disappointed with the slice. Plain and bland, so thin you could count the few pieces of apples. Marie's and Coco's will still be my choice.
I ordered the Widow Maker minus the fried egg. It was to die for! If I had to choose a burger for my last meal this would definitely make the list. It was juicy, spicy as all get out that left my lips & tongue burning. Not only was the bacon ginormous so was the burger. I could only fit half the burger in my pie hole. The fries weren't the best I ever have had but they were definitely amazing.
Came highly recommend by several foodies and food blogs so I had to check it out for myself... Good food and really fast service, only waited about five minutes between the time I ordered and when the food came out. Hot fresh hickory burger was so good also ordered a Grilled cheese with cheddar cheese served with pickles and olives on the side. The single order of fries is plenty for two people to share our fries were hot and crispy. Drinks are served in vintage paper cups with a tin base holder, made the soda taste that much better. The staff is so fast and precise! This place is one of kind.
Small diner atmosphere, with easy menu selection. Good burgers, one with sauce and one without. 👍Cool place to check out🍔 Heads Up- they only accept Cash🤑💵💰💸 Be sure to take a Pie home!!🥧
The Apple Pan is always delicious. They have great burgers. Their sandwiches, especially the Tuna and Ham are definitely the best ever. Their desert pies, especially the Chocolate with real whipped cream, is a special delite. I wholeheartedly recommend The Apple Pan and you will not be disappointed.
They also have pizzas but i haven't tried them as burgers are their specialty. The value for money ratio is very good.
This is a great diner. All the good old fixins, and just an all-round fun place to be.
My husband and I saw this place on Burger Paradise so we had to try it out. The burger 🍔 was very satisfying. With its our tasty combination of mayo, lettuce, Tillamook cheese and a ketchup/relish spread that really tasted Delicious! If I find myself in these parts again I will be back!!
The chili cheeseburger with chili-cheese fries are way more than a person should eat, but hell, sometimes it just needs to happen. This is my go-to place for chili burgers. This location always has good service. They have plenty of outdoor seating & shade. It's just a bummer that there's no drive-thru.
Good hospitality, the burger was yummy ordered Classic American burger , which was huge and pretty filling, and moist. the people working inside were really inviting and sweet. Also ordered sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. I loved it! The girl working there gave us a lil ice cream treat will go again.
Soooooooo good. Great atmosphere. Great prices. Cool staff. I'll be back. Although I wore Celtics shorts there, they joked but still cool.
Classic burger joint. I love the hickory burgers, fresh pie and the tuna sandwich. Meter parking. Some parking in back. Doing take out during the virus. Excellent service.
I found out about this place 2 months ago while walking. Since then, I kid you not, I've are here at leasstttttt once a week. At times lunch and dinner ,The portions are huge !!!!!Chicken is NOT dry and their gyro sandwiches can feed a village. If you're looking for a healthy meal under $9 this is a place to go. Chicken breast with salad.Photo of Seasoning Alley - Montrose, CA, United States. Chicken breast #9 with salad no rice.
Felt very transactional. The staff was nice, but it didn’t feel personable. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Couldn’t really taste the burgher because it was drenched in their sauce. Somehow what looked reasonable added up to $25 with tip for one person? Would maybe go back for a late night apple pie.
This ain’t it. Pre COVID I invited a friend of mine for dinner one night. Not understanding the hype, mediocre at best. It’s certainly not as good as a Fathers Office burger. Service was fantastic and food was fresh.
Grew up as a kid going to the APPLE PAN. Brought my boyfriend for first time, he loved it!
I have been here to eat but I’ve been by to pick up their banana cream pie. That is def a 5 star dessert! I’m told the burgers are good. A solid greasy spoon type of place. But I’d be happy with just their pies. If bananas aren’t your thing, then get the chocolate cream.
So so SO good! I had the ham and cheese on rye toasted and coconut creme pie - absolutely delicious!
Delicious steak burgers, lots of fries. A little expensive for a burger... but good quality.
Great restaurant! The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly! The babaganoush was some of the best I have ever had. It was busy and lots of to go orders being prepared. Can't wait to go back!!!
We love True Food! The food is delicious, and the staff are always so friendly. Everything I’ve tasted on their menu is amazing.
two days ago was the first time we went to this excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We had a good time with the excellent service, with the exceptional cooking and booze and with the honest pay. We will no doubt visit there in a short time.
Heard so much about this legendary establishment only to be so disappointed!! How do you order a burger extra well done, and you get a medium rare burger instead? A then when I took it back for a refund, they were more concerned that my mask was in my pocket rather than having my food prepared the way I paid for it, and didn't even want to touch the covered up burger! Why? Did you sell me a contaminated burger? Then what's the problem? The guy saw how mad I was and told me to please give him a chance to make it right.....I said I did give you a chance! NEVER AGAIN!! So much for the 🍎 pan!
Classic hamburger joint with today's fancy prices. The steak burger is a super thin patty, so I have no idea if it is juicy. Luckily the big wedge of iceberg lettuce made it juicy. Tasty but underwhelming. The hickory burger was better. Thicker, can taste actual meat once you get past all of the bbq sauce they drench it in. For burgers, I'd go elsewhere like American Beauty or In N Out or Shake shack. Cheaper and tastier. However, apple pan does have amazing pie.
Carla hated her job noticed right away first time here got our name wrong, number wrong, and her attitude was wrong... made my first time experience feel like it was like a basic burger joint definitely not coming back
I adore this spot! They give first-rate meals, their menu is decent, The chef in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much trying all their food. The dishes are consistently fresh, the service towards the visitors is good. I go often to this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the integrity of your dishes and your staff. Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful experience. Your team from back to front gives it all they got & you can taste every detail. Thank you for keeping it simply perfect
I came here 43 years ago and just came to visit to try it out once more one of my favorite spots back then... will definitely come back 43 years from now 👎 (I'm 63 by the way)
I thought this was a great Friday night date place for my wife and I. I got the buffalo burger and she got the sliders. Simple menu and simple burgers, but the burgers themselves were well prepared and the flavors were awesome, very juicy. The fries were great too. I loved the garlic fries. I look forward to returning.
Great Burgers! I had the steak my husband had the Hickory. His was the winner! Friendly staff.
Such a great concept . Loved everything about it! So cool! I had The Apple Pan burger. Both were amazing.
Loved this place!!! The burgers are to die for! My favorite this the devil belly eggs! Sometimes I'll stop in and take them Togo. I want to bring my BF back so he can try the beer. Will definitely be back!
Really, really, really good burgers. I kept seeing this place and after it survived a while, I tried it. Delicious! I love the Kailua with grilled onions --Yum! Fries are good too - fresh and soft, but the burgers are what brings me back.
Great waygu grass fed burger, yummy toppings like cranberry relish, Dijon, Gruyere and sautéed onions. Only wish the fries were fresh cut. Very respectful and helpful staff. The regulars really dig this place. I will go back when in Silver Lake.
Amazing "The Apple Pan" burger (with the garlic aoili)! You could really taste the quality of the meat and all the ingredients. The garlic fries were so unique, Carmelized garlic cloves left in the fries were delicious. The guy at the counter was great as well, big personality. Can't wait to go back for one of their specialty burgers.
Definitely on a must visit list. Never disappoints. I had tuna on rye toast with french fries. They give you couple sweet pickle slices and two black olives . Then I had pecan pie for dessert. I have ordered same thing for last forty years and same guy been helping me. They changed owners but you would not know.
Whether it’s a cheat day, a treat day, or you’re simply honoring that Apple Pan craving, it’s always the right day and right time for THE ABSOLUTE BEST hamburger and French fries you’ve ever had. I could describe every nuance about that hickory burger, the cheddar, the red sauce, the fresh lettuce, the (I like mine grilled) onions and made fresh-that-day bun. Anything I say trying to describe to you, the best, most perfect French fries could never convey to you how incredibly delicious this meal is or why. So here’s how I’ll sum it all up; As have many Angelenos, my family, my friends and I have been eating at The Apple Pan our entire lives, and every single time, without fail, the food is always the same...The Apple Pan is consistently, deliciously perfect. Every. Single. Time.
A classic burger joint but they have the best egg salad sandwich you ever had.
It's only been open for 7 months and our first time with a big party... it was GREAT! Hands down on service from Tristian and the others. Food was on point also. We all enjoyed. If I had anything bad to say maybe just full liquor bar. Must try peach crispSecond time now and omg...service just still outstanding! Even took our friends and they loved.I think we found our new hamburger place
I grew up in WLA and this was the place to go on a date, after a movie, taking a break from shopping, or lunch break from work. Always great food to eat at the counter or take out. Couldn't beat it then, can't beat it now. Before the fast food homogenized neutralized burger was invented, burger joints like this were everywhere and the Apple Pan was the best. If someone finds it odd it's probably because their generation can't grasp cooked from scratch good. They don't make them like this anymore - and they should.
